POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for solar PV or renewable energy projects. Oversee grid integration, power distribution and protection systems. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and performance modelling. Prepare technical specifications, drawings and documentation in line with industry standards. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including EPC contractors, utilities and regulators. Ensure compliance with relevant SANS, IEC and NERSA requirements. Support project execution from design to commissioning phase. Minimum Requirements: BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential). 3+ years of hands-on experience in solar PV or renewable energy projects. Strong understanding of PV system design tools (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope). Knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards. Experience with utility-scale or C&I solar systems is advantageous. ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer) will be a strong advantage. Apply now!
