Our client, a leading supplier of premium baking equipment and solutions, is seeking a skilled Test Baker to take ownership of their demonstration bakery and support both clients and internal teams through product application, training, and technical expertise. This role combines hands-on baking with client interaction, training, and product optimisation.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Managing the full setup and operation of the test bakery, including equipment preparation, ingredient sourcing, and post-demonstration breakdown Maintaining a clean, organised, and fully functional bakery environment, including equipment and ingredient storage Ensuring all health and safety standards are consistently upheld within the bakery and training areas Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for clients, both on-site and at customer locations Supporting clients with recipe development and optimisation using company equipment Providing detailed feedback and training reports to clients and internal sales teams Assisting with store openings, product launches, and customer support initiatives Preparing and managing company presence at trade shows and exhibitions Managing stock, ingredient orders, and bakery-related expenditure Travelling locally and internationally to support client needs and business initiatives Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Diploma in Professional Baking or Bakery Management (advantageous) Minimum 5 years' experience within a commercial baking environment Strong understanding of baking processes, equipment, and troubleshooting Ability to train and engage with clients in a professional, confident manner Good organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail Knowledge of health and safety standards within a food production environment Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally Important to Note: Candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment as part of the selection process Send your CV to Persona Staff (PTY) Ltd is POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013) compliant
