Purpose
We are looking for an AI Implementation Team Lead for a 6-month contract (with the option to extend to 12 months) who can lead a client-facing AI initiative from discovery through to build. Read on to find out more about the role and the candidate we are looking for.
Tasks include
Discovery & Planning
- Run stakeholder interviews and map priorities during an initial discovery phase.
- Produce a clear findings report that the client's leadership can act on.
- Help the client decide on the highest priority area to build first.
Delivery & Build
- Take the agreed priority from design through to a working build.
- Structure delivery in phases, with clear deliverables at agreed milestones.
- Ensure technical documentation is created and kept up to date throughout.
Team & Client Leadership
- Lead a small technical team (2 to 4 people) through a time-boxed delivery.
- Translate business priorities into a technical plan, and technical constraints back into business terms, for the client's leadership.
- Act as the client's primary technical point of contact for the engagement.
Our Tech Stack includes (but is not limited to):
- LLM integration (prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, tool use)
- Python
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- API integration and orchestration frameworks
Essential
- Has led at least one production LLM/AI implementation end-to-end, from discovery to deployment
- Practical, hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns: prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, tool use, or fine-tuning
- Experience running a discovery phase: stakeholder interviews, prioritisation, and producing a clear findings report
- Experience leading a small technical team (2 to 4 people) through a delivery-focused, time-boxed engagement
- Comfortable working independently in a consulting or client-facing context
Advantageous (Not Essential)
- Experience in fintech or payments
- Experience presenting findings and recommendations directly to a CTO or executive sponsor
- Experience structuring phased or milestone-based contracts
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience will be considered above formal qualifications for this role.
