For Universal Renal Care South Africa, we are looking for a Registered Nurse/ Clinical Technologist who will provide quality care to patients in need of dialysis. Collaborate as a team to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
About The Role
This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist role based in Modimolle, Limpopo. The Registered Nurse will provide safe, effective, and compassionate dialysis care, including preparation and monitoring of patients undergoing haemodialysis, haemodiafiltration, and/or peritoneal dialysis.
How You Will Contribute
- Assessing patient needs
- Developing and implementing nursing care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed,
- Monitoring vital signs and dialysis parameters.
- Educate patients and families on renal conditions, treatment options, and self-care, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and supporting continuity of care.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals, adhering to infection prevention and control standards, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
What You Bring To URC
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Registered Nurse or Clinical Technologist Qualification
- Current registration as a Professional Nurse OR Clinical Technologist with SANC/HPCSA and proof of valid practicing license.
- Previous experience in nephrology or dialysis nursing is highly beneficial; experience in acute renal care is an advantage.
- Competence in electronic medical records, basic computer literacy, and accurate clinical documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated clinical skills in renal nursing, including dialysis treatment preparation, patient assessment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Strong patient care, communication, and counselling abilities to support a diverse, multicultural patient population.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control, medication administration, and emergency response in a dialysis setting
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and maintain professional, ethical practice aligned with organisational values.
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts, demonstrate accountability, and participate in ongoing training and development.
