New Business Partner: Courier/Logistic -POS26264

Based: Durban

Salary: Based on experience

 

The New Business Partner is responsible for securing new courier and express logistics accounts to achieve individual sales targets.

Requirements

·        Junior: 1 year logistics/road freight sales experience + Grade 12.

·        Mid: 2–3 years' logistics/road freight sales experience + Grade 12.

·        Senior: 5+ years' logistics/road freight sales experience + Grade 12.

·        Advantageous (All Levels): Diploma or certification in sales, marketing, or business.

·        Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint), sales techniques, and market intelligence.

·        Core Skills: Communication, negotiation, relationship-building, time management, and strategic thinking.

·        Core Competencies: Goal-driven, rapport building, strategic execution, and opportunity identification.

·        Core Skills: Prospecting, pipeline planning, objection handling, complex commercial negotiation, and tender leadership.

·        Key Competencies: Strategy development, relationship building, commercial drive, producing outputs, and seizing opportunities.

·        Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

·        Lead Generation: Identify new business leads and upsell opportunities.

·        Deal Closure: Engage potential clients, pitch logistics solutions, and close deals.

·        Pricing & Negotiation: Negotiate rates aligned with company strategy and industry standards.

·        Onboarding & Admin: Complete required documentation and support new clients during onboarding.

·        CRM Management: Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.

·        Target Delivery: Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales KPIs.

 

Internal & Stakeholder Collaboration

·        Management Support: Provide operational feedback, track initiatives, and contribute to pricing and service evaluations.

·        Cross-Functional Alignment: Work with Operations, Customer Service, and Retention teams to ensure SLA compliance and smooth client transitions.

·        Continuous Improvement: Monitor market trends and contribute to strategic account development.
