Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification
• Proven retail or FMCG industry experience advantageous
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and meet customer needs
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Intermediate proficiency in product knowledge relevant to fashion, beauty, and home sectors
• Demonstrated selling skills and ability to achieve sales and unit targets
• Good planning, organizing, and detail orientation skills to manage stock and merchandising
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support team objectives
• Dependable with strong personal leadership qualities including punctuality and adherence to dress code
• Flexible availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers while addressing their queries and complaints efficiently.
• Maintain expert product knowledge in fashion, beauty, and home sectors to advise customers effectively and promote new lines and promotions.
• Ensure stock availability on the sales floor through effective stock management, including monitoring stock movement, rotation, and replenishment.
• Implement merchandising standards by ensuring proper gridding, rack alignment, ticketing, and overall visual presentation.
• Support loss prevention initiatives by adhering to shrinkage control measures, reporting suspicious activities, and maintaining store security protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized sales area and backroom, ensuring compliance with shopkeeping disciplines.
• Achieve sales and unit targets by applying proven selling skills and offering suitable product alternatives when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and support department objectives through reliable attendance and leadership conduct.
• Attend team meetings and stay informed on daily objectives to contribute to the department's operational excellence.
