Equity Analyst

A leading investment management organisation is seeking an Equity Analyst to join their investment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and analysing companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, identifying investment opportunities, and providing insights to support portfolio management decisions. This opportunity is suited to candidates with strong academic backgrounds, analytical ability, and a genuine passion for investments, including individuals looking to develop their career within equity research.

Requirements include (but are not limited to):

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Business Science (Finance stream), Engineering, Actuarial Science, Chartered Accountancy, CFA, or another relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Strong academic track record with demonstrated interest and curiosity in business, financial markets, and investment analysis.
• Up to 5 years’ experience within equity research, asset management, stock broking, or a related investment environment advantageous.
• Experience building financial models, conducting company and sector analysis, and interpreting financial information to support investment decisions.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, and presentation skills with a self-driven, curious, and independent approach.
