Senior Project Development Manager - Renewable Energy

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Development Manager to play a leading role in the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This position is suited to a highly capable developer with extensive greenfield project development experience and a proven track record of successfully progressing projects through to Financial Close.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of renewable energy projects from origination through to Financial Close.
• Oversee project strategy, development planning and programme execution.
• Identify and secure suitable project sites and support complex land acquisition processes.
• Direct environmental, regulatory and permitting activities.
• Drive technical optimisation to maximise project value and bankability.
• Manage commercial development activities, including the procurement of project goods and services, contract negotiations and project transactions.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules and development costs.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support project financial modelling and commercial decision-making.
• Mentor and guide junior project development professionals while contributing to overall team performance.

Requirements

• Tertiary Qualification
• Extensive experience in greenfield renewable energy project development.
• Demonstrated success in developing renewable energy projects through to Financial Close.
• Experience gained within a project developer or similar renewable energy development environment.
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
