SUMMARY

A leading engineering and industrial services company is looking for a skilled Qualified Three Phase Electrician to join their maintenance team.

POSITION INFO

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong fault-finding abilities and extensive experience working on industrial electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and compliance-driven installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, installations, system upgrades, and ensuring all electrical work complies with applicable legislation and industry standards. Exposure to generators, transformers, and renewable energy systems will be highly advantageous. Education: Trade Test Certificate (Electrician) - Red Seal Valid Wireman's License advantageous Solar PV certification advantageous Job Experience & Skills Required: Extensive experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or commercial environments Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems Maintain and repair motors, drives, electrical panels, distribution boards, transformers, and generators Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime Install new electrical systems, equipment, and control panels Modify and upgrade existing electrical infrastructure Ensure all installations comply with SANS standards and client requirements Issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) where required Strong understanding of SANS 10142 (Wiring Code) and Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and compliance records Conduct electrical inspections and testing, including: Earth leakage testing Insulation resistance testing Continuity testing Thermal imaging inspections Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings and schematics Create and maintain as-built drawings and technical documentation Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions Advantageous Skills: Experience with generator and backup power systems Exposure to transformer maintenance and installations Solar PV experience, including grid-tied and hybrid systems Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards Apply now!
