To provide IT expertise in designing, configuring, and enhancing systems in alignment with established programming standards and frameworks. This job translates functional specifications into logical and technical designs and develops code for small to medium-sized applications to meet business and technical requirements.

Are you someone who can

• Design and develop Java-based platform services and microservices.
• Build self-service portals, APIs, and automation tools for Kafka platform users.
• Develop AI-powered assistants and automation to improve developer productivity and platform operations.
• Create tools that simplify onboarding, provisioning, and lifecycle management of Kafka resources.
• Implement governance, standards, and policy enforcement across the platform.
• Develop integrations with enterprise identity, security, and CI/CD tooling.
• Improve platform observability, monitoring, and operational automation.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and production issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams to improve the overall developer experience.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java Frameworks like Spring Boot/ Quarkus .
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Good understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Git and CI/CD experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

AI Experience

• Building AI agents and intelligent assistants.
• Working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Prompt engineering.
• AI API integration.
• AI-driven workflow automation.

Advantageous Skills

• Confluent Platform.
• Kafka Streams.
• Apache Flink.
• OAuth/Keycloak.
• Infrastructure as Code.
• Ansible Automation Platform.
• Prometheus and Grafana.
• Platform engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
