As a subsidiary of a proudly JSE-listed group, our retail branches and specialist brands offer high-quality farming supplies and a broad range of retail products to a diverse customer base who share a love for the land and a can-do attitude. We are deeply passionate about supporting agriculture, rural communities, and lifestyle customers, offering our people genuine opportunities to grow their careers in a highly unique business model. The Role As the E-Commerce & Digital Product Specialist , you will take full ownership of our app and online platform-spanning click-and-collect, online ordering, catalogue browsing, and digital self-service tools that let our account customers manage their grain, fuel, and credit accounts. You will be the single point of accountability for the platform: shaping the roadmap, designing the experience, overseeing development, and driving the growth that turns features into customer loyalty. As the channel scales, your function and team will scale with it. Main Responsibilities Roadmap Ownership: Own the product roadmap for the app and online platform, balancing customer value, commercial return, and operational fit. CX Design: Design and continuously improve the customer experience across ordering, click-and-collect, catalogue browsing, and account self-service (grain, fuel, and credit). Release Management: Manage the end-to-end release cycle by specifying features, prioritizing the backlog, and coordinating development partners and internal IT through to launch. Testing & QA: Plan and run functional QA, user acceptance testing, and A/B experiments to ensure quality releases and evidence-based design decisions. Drive Growth: Own and improve growth metrics, including adoption, active users, conversion, basket size, retention, and channel revenue against clear targets. Cross-Functional Integration: Work across Supply Chain, Finance, Credit, Marketing, and branch operations to integrate the platform with ERP and account systems for a seamless omni-channel experience. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage development partners, vendors, and budgets while building out the digital function as the channel grows. Minimum Requirements Education: Relevant degree (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field). Experience: 3+ years in digital product, e-commerce, or app product management, with demonstrable ownership of a live platform. Product Lifecycle: A proven track record across the full product lifecycle (roadmap, UX/design input, build oversight, testing, and post-launch growth). Technical Savvy: Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, agile delivery, and UX principles, with comfort briefing and managing technical partners. Mindset: Commercially minded, customer-obsessed, and a self-starter capable of translating data into decisions and building a function from the ground up. What will give you an edge (Advantageous): Experience in retail or agri-retail. Experience with account-based or credit-linked customer platforms. Exposure to ERP integration.
