SUMMARY
Our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their commercial team. This role is suited to a relationship-driven, commercially minded, and customer-focused professional with experience managing B2B client accounts within the IT Managed Services (MSP) industry. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, identifying growth opportunities, and building long-term strategic partnerships.
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities to expand managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, licensing, and professional services within existing accounts. Develop and execute account management plans with clear revenue growth and retention objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across technical, operational, procurement, and executive teams. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their business needs are understood and aligned with the company's service offerings. Work closely with technical, service delivery, project, and support teams to ensure successful delivery of services and a positive customer experience. Conduct regular client review meetings, providing strategic guidance, service updates, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Maintain accurate CRM records, including client interactions, opportunities, quotations, renewals, and account activities. Manage contract renewals, licensing renewals, and service agreements while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor offerings, and customer requirements to provide valuable insights and recommendations. Requirements 3-7 years' experience in Account Management within an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP), IT services, systems integrator, or technology solutions environment. Proven track record of growing existing client accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and long-term relationship management. Strong understanding of Managed Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Cloud Solutions, Cybersecurity, Networking, Infrastructure, or IT Support Services. Experience working with SME and enterprise clients. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive decision-makers. Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of contracts, renewals, pricing, and solution-based selling. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, organised, and customer-centric. Technical & Professional Skills CRM management and pipeline tracking. Account planning and customer success strategies. Contract, renewal, and opportunity management. Solution-based selling and consultative account management. Strong commercial forecasting and reporting. Understanding of Managed Services, Cloud, Microsoft technologies, Cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure. Key Competencies Strong relationship management and customer service orientation.
