Purpose Of The Job

Our client an Automotive Battery Specialist who supply and provide aftermarket support for leading global brands, require a Warehouse Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of people within the warehouse function, managing the flow of stock through the warehouse, monitoring goods in and out safely, ensuring stock records are correct and that the Company's targets and objectives are met. Managing Collections and Deliveries. Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled, staff comply with health & safety regulations as well as standard operating procedures.

POSITION INFO

Responsibilities: General Task Management Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, logistics and floor productivity Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to and support dispatch time Identify errors and eliminate root causes using corrective counter measures Ensure the security of the Warehouse environment and maintain access control Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and safely practiced by the team Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company's procedures and requirements Operate visual delivery tracking systems in order that commodity status can be seen at a glance Implement a corrective action plan to eliminate repeat issues Deliver efficiencies to support year-on-year operational budget reduction Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot build, ensuring robust product life cycles Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the inventory team Direct, optimise and coordinate full order cycle Arrange and plan out the warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments Implement warehouse and management systems and working practices in line with best practices and continuous improvement Check, record and report any equipment that is not in good working order to technical services Ensure that goods are received accurately and stored securely Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment Maintain the management of supplier return packaging Record and communicate all shortage issues to the Business Unit Manager Stock Control Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency Customer Focus Manage Manpower resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely manner Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers' timescales/ requirements Deliver the product to the customer on time, every time, using appropriate methods Follow-up and resolve Customer concerns Monitor and review operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements within the operation whilst ensuring continuous customer service Staff Supervision & Development Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the Company's targets and objectives Maintain training matrix and ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational flexibility Planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse Ensure that employee attendance is monitored and that annual / sick leave is recorded on ZOHO Supervise the warehouse team and manage day-to-day warehouse operations Quality Audits Conduct audit checks to ensure that transactions are traceable to signed-off delivery documents where applicable Conduct audits to ensure that the entire receiving cycle is complete Self-Management Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards and all other Company policies and procedures Engage the interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others Other Duties & Responsibilities Any other reasonable, lawful instructions, even if not stipulated, which may be given by any person duly authorized or delegated by the Company to do so Any other duties that may reasonably be expected of him/her within the Company from time to time Policies & Procedures Ensure adherence to the Company's Policies and Procedures and Health and Safety Standards Minimum Requirements (Essential): Technical or Core knowledge / sill required MS Office and various other computer programs Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management best practice principles Qualifications Matric or Grade 12 Diploma in Supply Chain / Warehouse Management Experience progression required 4 -
