Human Feedback Contributor
Pixel Systems
We are adding a Human Feedback Contributor to our team to help refine how artificial intelligence handles the specific, messy data that businesses use every day. In this role, you will be evaluating and improving the text generated by the internal tools we build for our clients. This is a part-time, fully remote contract position where you act as the human check on technology, ensuring that the AI solutions we provide are accurate, logical, and genuinely helpful for people managing real-world operations.
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that focuses on the practical tools teams actually need. We do not spend our time on flashy consumer apps or marketing sites that nobody looks at twice. Instead, we focus on the utilitarian stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most teams try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a disorganized spreadsheet with a real database or when they need their different software tools to communicate with one another effectively. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward: we provide fixed quotes, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain.
The role
This position is about teaching models how to be more accurate in a business context. You will spend your time looking at prompts and responses, then grading them based on how well they follow instructions. Sometimes a model might get a calculation wrong or misinterpret a complex business request. Your task will be to correct those errors and provide better examples of how the model should have responded. You might be asked to rewrite a confusing paragraph to make it clearer, or to identify a subtle logic error in a formula. Since Pixel Systems builds operational tools, you will often evaluate how AI handles things like inventory logs, shipping records, or customer service tickets. Because this is a fully remote role, you can complete these tasks from anywhere as long as you have a stable internet connection.
What you bring
Success in this position depends on your ability to be thorough and logical. We need people who can spot a small typo in a long list of data or notice when a model is being technically correct but practically useless. You should have a very high standard for written English and be able to explain their reasoning when they mark an answer as incorrect. Being organized and reliable is essential, especially since you will be managing your own schedule. This is a paid position, and we offer a rate that is competitive and attractive for this type of entry-level work. You do not need to be a software engineer to do this job, but you should be comfortable using web-based tools and following detailed sets of instructions without getting overwhelmed.
Helpful background
- Experience using common office software like Google Docs or Microsoft Excel.
- An interest in how AI and large language models interpret human instructions.
- The ability to write in different tones, ranging from formal business reports to casual internal notes.
- Familiarity with how businesses organize information, such as using categories, tags, or status updates.
- A basic understanding of software development or databases is useful but not required.
- Strong reading comprehension skills and the ability to find information quickly.
- Previous experience in data entry, proofreading, or content moderation.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here is different from working at a large tech company. We are a senior team with a very flat structure, which means there are no layers of middle management. You will receive clear instructions on what needs to be done, and then you will be trusted to do it. We value clarity over cleverness and results over long meetings. We work remotely because it allows us to focus on the work itself rather than office politics. We ship work that helps real people, like warehouse managers or operations coordinators, do their jobs more efficiently. When you work with us, you are contributing to software that solves actual headaches for businesses.
Pixel Systems is a small team and we plan to stay that way. We hire people who are pragmatic and prefer a quiet, productive environment over a bustling corporate culture. We focus on getting the job done right and moving on to the next challenge without unnecessary drama. This role gives you a chance to see the internal side of AI development and help us build better systems for our clients.
