This role provides strategic leadership across accounts, drives commercial growth, and works collaboratively with creative, strategy, production, and digital teams to deliver work that achieves client business objectives.
Job Purpose
The Account Director is responsible for leading a portfolio of client accounts.
The ideal candidate is an experienced client services professional with a strong understanding of brand, creative, and integrated marketing, supported by a solid working knowledge of digital marketing channels and campaign delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership
Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and market dynamics.
Lead strategic planning discussions and identify opportunities to add value.
Manage client expectations and ensure consistently high levels of service.
Account & Commercial Management
Identify opportunities for organic growth, cross-selling, and upselling agency services.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Strategic & Creative Leadership
Translate client business objectives into clear creative and marketing briefs.
Partner with Strategy and Creative teams to develop impactful campaigns.
Champion creative excellence while ensuring solutions remain commercially effective.
Provide constructive feedback that strengthens creative output.
Integrated Campaign Management
Oversee the delivery of integrated campaigns across multiple channels, including:
o Brand campaigns
o Digital marketing
o Social media
Ensure seamless collaboration between internal departments.
Digital Oversight
Demonstrate a sound understanding of digital marketing principles, including paid media, SEO, social media.
Ensure digital work aligns with broader brand and campaign objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop Account Managers and Account Executives.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Encourage continuous learning and professional development.
Experience
4–10 years' experience in client services within a creative, advertising, or integrated marketing agency.
Proven experience managing large, complex client accounts.
Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns.
Working knowledge of digital marketing and performance channels.
Previous experience managing and developing client service teams.
