POSITION INFO

Based in Edenvale , this role is ideal for an accomplished draughtsperson who can interpret design instructions, produce precise AutoCAD drawings and take full ownership of assigned work without constant supervision. Expect varied projects, strong technical standards and the opportunity to contribute to complex engineering solutions within an established global organisation. Duties / Key Responsibilities Produce detailed mechanical and structural drawings using AutoCAD. Interpret design instructions and translate them into accurate technical drawings. Manage assigned drafting work autonomously and meet project deadlines. Collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams. Maintain high drawing standards, accuracy and document control. Requirements At least 10 years' professional AutoCAD experience. Tekla proficiency a major benefit. At least 10 years' experience in mechanical or structural drafting. A proven track record within an industrial manufacturing environment. Advanced Steel knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. Ability to demonstrate technical competence during a practical assessment. Education A relevant technical or draughting qualification would be advantageous; substantial proven experience is essential. Soft Skills Independent, accurate and dependable, with strong technical judgement and the flexibility to work alone or within a project team. Salary Package The proposed salary for the role is R40k - R48k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
