SUMMARY
An international manufacturer of plant and animal nutrition products is seeking a dedicated Regional Manager to drive regional sales performance, lead and develop a team of Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs), expand market share, and ensure the successful execution of the company's commercial strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a combination of strong agricultural knowledge, commercial acumen, people leadership, and recruitment expertise. The successful candidate will be expected not only to lead an existing team but also to identify, recruit, develop, and retain top agricultural sales talent within the region.

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Production, Soil Science, or a related field Minimum 5 years' experience within the agricultural industry with at least 3 years' experience in a sales leadership or management role Must have strong row crop experience Previous people management and recruitment experience is essential Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing agricultural sales teams while consistently achieving sales targets and driving business growth Experience within crop nutrition, bio-stimulants, crop protection, seed, or related agricultural input industries will be highly advantageous The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of Technical Sales Representatives. Fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer success, and continuous improvement. Conducting regular field visits and joint customer calls with team members. Monitoring individual and regional performance against agreed objectives. Providing ongoing coaching and support to enhance technical, commercial, and relationship-building skills. Identifying succession opportunities and developing future leaders within the business. Taking ownership of talent identification and recruitment activities within the region. Building and maintaining a pipeline of high-potential agricultural sales talent. Utilizing industry networks, referrals, and market knowledge to identify suitable candidates. Participating in candidate screening, interviewing, and selection processes. Working closely with the recruitment team to ensure timely and successful appointments. Supporting the onboarding and integration of new employees into the business. Driving employee engagement, retention, and long-term team development. Developing and implementing regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Achieving and exceeding regional sales and profitability targets. Identifying opportunities for market growth and increased product adoption. Supporting Technical Sales Representatives in managing strategic customer relationships and key accounts. Monitoring sales performance and implementing corrective actions where required. Driving value-based selling and ensuring strong commercial execution throughout the region. Ensuring effective territory management and customer coverage. Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, consultants, and key industry stakeholders. Supporting the resolution of customer concerns and ensuring exceptional customer service. Representing the company at farmer days, demonstrations, exhibitions, and industry events. Strengthening brand presence and market positioning within the region. Providing technical guidance and support to the sales team. Supporting the positioning of crop nutrition, bio-stimulant, soil health, and related agricultural solutions. Working closely with the Agronomy team to ensure the successful implementation of product strategies and field initiatives. Monitoring and reporting on regional sales performance, forecasts, and market activity. Ensuring accurate CRM utilization and reporting by the team. Managing regional budgets and resources effectively. Preparing and presenting regional performance updates to senior management.
