Job Overview

Seeking a versatile, detail-oriented

Administrative and B&B Assistant to support office operations and assist with the day-to-day running, advertising, and marketing of a Bed & Breakfast establishment. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, well-organised individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats, from managing administrative processes to ensuring guests have a memorable stay.

The ideal candidate is a reliable multitasker with strong administrative skills, a customer-service mindset, and a willingness to assist wherever needed, including flexible and after-hours availability for guest bookings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential); a relevant administrative or business qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Some experience in Imports and Exports documentation preferred.
  • Previous exposure to hospitality, guest services, or B&B operations advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends for guest bookings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organise electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring import & export documentation is finalised, checked, filed, and archived appropriately.
  • Assist with trade reference checks on new credit applications.
  • Complete timesheets and labour forms accurately and timeously.
  • Manage and schedule calendars, meetings, and to-do lists for management.
  • Coordinate the renewal of vehicle license discs and related documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate fuel and SANRAL account schedules.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and minute staff and business meetings.
  • Assist with booking company travel arrangements.
  • Support the compilation of BEE assessment documentation.
  • Assist with advertising and marketing initiatives for the B&B, including social media content.
  • Manage and coordinate guest bookings, including availability outside of standard office hours.
  • Provide flexible support across departments and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Undertake any additional administrative or operational tasks required to support company processes.
  • Assisting in keeping fuel and SANRAL schedules up to date.
