The Talent Experts
Industrial sales is easy to talk about. Building long-term growth in technical markets takes a different calibre altogether.
Is this you?
You’re commercially sharp, technically minded and thrive on developing business in industrial or chemical markets. Building relationships comes naturally to you, whether it’s strengthening existing accounts or opening doors with new clients. You’re resilient, organised and confident engaging with customers in technical environments, and you enjoy being out in the market rather than sitting behind a desk all day. Most importantly, you’re driven by results and motivated by the opportunity to grow something meaningful.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
This role combines business development with strategic account management across the industrial sector. You’ll focus on growing existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new opportunities within industrial, chemical, mining and engineering-related markets. Part of your role will involve providing technical support during product trials, liaising with suppliers and keeping close to market trends and customer requirements. You’ll enjoy this position because it offers real autonomy, a strong client-facing focus and the opportunity to make a visible commercial impact within a growing business.
Where you’ll be doing it
You’ll join a well-established technical solutions business supplying specialised products into the industrial sector across Southern Africa. Known for its entrepreneurial culture and strong customer relationships, the business offers a collaborative environment where initiative, accountability and long-term thinking are genuinely valued. The role is Woodmead based with regular travel to customers and partners. Office days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
What you’ll need
A minimum of 5 years of experience in external sales selling raw materials or chemicals within the industrial, chemical, mining or technical products market is essential. You’ll need strong business development capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage at both technical and commercial levels. Matric, a driver’s licence and own vehicle are required, while Afrikaans communication skills will be beneficial.
What you’ll get
Along with a competitive salary plus benefits, you’ll receive commission incentives, travel support and the opportunity to join a business where your contribution directly influences growth. This is a mid-to-senior level opportunity with strong long-term career potential.
