Project Manager - Water

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of municipal water infrastructure projects. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated engineering professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing complex civil engineering projects from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects from initiation to close-out.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and delivery plans.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and site personnel.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and client requirements.
Oversee contract administration in accordance with FIDIC, NEC, or GCC contracts.
Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
Prepare project reports, facilitate meetings, and oversee project handovers.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Professional registration as Pr CPM with SACPCMP will be advantageous.
5–10 years' experience within civil or water infrastructure projects.
3–5 years' experience in a project management capacity.
Experience delivering municipal water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment works.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
