SUMMARY

A well-established engineering and precision manufacturing company in the East Rand is seeking an experienced

CNC Programmer to join their team with EDGECAM programming experience.

POSITION INFO

Requirements: Minimum 10 years' experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Setter or CNC Machinist Matric Advanced knowledge of EDGECAM (essential) Experience using CAD/design software Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning and machining processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and tolerances Experience within engineering, precision manufacturing, mining, automotive or industrial manufacturing Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines Key Responsibilities: Create, modify and optimise CNC programs using EDGECAM Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models Generate and verify toolpaths for efficient machining Select tooling, cutting parameters and machining sequences Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists and program documentation Conduct program simulations and first-off inspections Troubleshoot programming, tooling and machining issues Improve existing CNC programs to increase productivity and reduce cycle times Work closely with machinists, engineers and quality personnel Maintain accurate CNC program records and revision control Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
