SUMMARY

Procurement Officer required for our Client who specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of heat exchangers, thermal equipment and process plants. The role will be based in Wynberg, Sandton and is ideally suitable for candidates with procurement experience in the engineering, construction, mining or industrial environments.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations for engineering materials, components, tools and services. Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and keep contract managers up to date with delivery timelines. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and documentation. Compare supplier quotations and prepare cost analyses. Support vendor evaluation and onboarding processes. Coordinate with engineering, project management, maintenance and finance departments regarding procurement requirements. Assist in inventory monitoring and replenishment planning. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards. Resolve routine procurement and supply-related issues. Experience Required: Procurement or supply chain experience. Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction, mining or industrial environment is advantageous. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of procurement processes and purchasing principles.
