POSITION INFO

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business by providing professional insurance advice to commercial clients and high-net-worth individuals. You will conduct comprehensive needs analyses, recommend tailored commercial insurance solutions, and deliver an exceptional Red Carpet Client Experience while maintaining the highest standards of compliance. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, conversion ratios, and key performance indicators. Engage proactively with prospective clients through qualified leads and allocated campaigns. Maximise every sales opportunity using consultative selling techniques and effective pipeline management. Conduct comprehensive business risk assessments and insurance needs analyses. Recommend tailored Commercial Lines insurance solutions that align with each client's operational and financial requirements. Assess clients against underwriting and insurability criteria prior to concluding sales. Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional insurance products. Maintain current knowledge of Commercial Lines products, underwriting requirements, and industry trends. Client Relationship Management Deliver an exceptional Red Carpet Experience to commercial clients and high-net-worth individuals. Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships. Manage all allocated leads and follow-up activities within agreed service levels. Ensure all client interactions are handled professionally, ethically, and confidentially. Compliance & Governance Ensure full compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, and all applicable legislation. Complete compliant Records of Advice (ROA) for every policy sold. Adhere to all internal sales processes, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date client records and documentation. Quality Assurance Achieve and maintain the required monthly Quality Assurance score. Action Quality Assurance feedback promptly and implement corrective measures within required turnaround times. Participate in coaching sessions and demonstrate continuous improvement. Complete all remediation actions within prescribed service standards. Performance & Productivity Maintain high productivity through effective lead utilisation and pipeline management. Keep CRM systems, sales trackers, and reporting tools updated accurately and timeously. Maintain excellent attendance and adhere to scheduled working hours. Communicate any absence or lateness proactively to management. Remain available and accessible during working hours through all required communication platforms. Teamwork & Professional Conduct Contribute positively to team performance and a collaborative working environment. Attend and actively participate in meetings, coaching sessions, and training initiatives. Identify and escalate operational risks where appropriate. Support team engagement initiatives and celebrate team successes. Adhere to company policies, procedures, operational standards, and the Code of Conduct. Perform additional duties reasonably required to support business objectives. Minimum Requirements Qualifications FAIS-recognised qualification (NQF Level 4 or higher) meeting Fit and Proper requirements. RE5 Representative (Essential). Class of Business (COB) certification where applicable. CPD requirements maintained in accordance with FSCA regulations. Experience Minimum 2-5 years' proven sales experience within the short-term insurance industry. Minimum 2-5 years' experience selling Commercial Lines insurance products. Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets. Experience servicing commercial businesses across various industries. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals will be advantageous. Broker-based sales experience will be highly advantageous. Skills & Competencies Strong Commercial Lines product knowledge. Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills. Ability to assess commercial risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills. Strong business acumen and client-centric approach. Highly motivated, self-driven, and target-oriented. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
