We are seeking a well-networked, confident, and highly presentable
Account Executive with a passion for media sales, marketing, and business development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in media sales, with exposure to healthcare publications, health and wellness products, pharmaceutical brands, or related healthcare marketing sectors. A strong understanding of advertising, client relationship management, and new business development is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business development
- build, develop, and grow revenue within a portfolio of agencies and direct clients.
- achieve monthly and annual revenue targets as agreed with line management.
- identify and secure new business opportunities within the health, wellness, pharmaceutical, medical, and consumer lifestyle sectors.
- accurately capture and maintain all sales activity, pipeline, and client data on the company CRM system.
- promote Planet Media's media platforms, advertising solutions, and content offerings to agencies and direct clients.
- drive regional and national advertising spend through strategic client engagement.
- develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, marketing managers, brand managers, and agency personnel.
- proactively identify opportunities and present relevant advertising and sponsorship proposals.
Client Management
- obtain and interpret client briefs accurately.
- develop a thorough understanding of client objectives and campaign requirements.
- identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client portfolios.
- enhance and refine client briefs where necessary to maximize campaign effectiveness.
- maintain regular contact with clients to stay informed of future marketing activities and advertising opportunities.
- deliver exceptional customer service and account management.
Proposal development & Campaign management
- prepare detailed costing schedules and campaign proposals.
- ensure all proposals align with client objectives, budgets, and Planet Media offerings.
- collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and innovative solutions.
- review and revise proposals with relevant stakeholders prior to submission.
- monitor campaign performance and provide post-campaign feedback where required.
- prepare post-campaign reports and leverage performance insights to drive renewals and incremental spend.
Market Intelligence
- keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the media and healthcare sectors.
- maintain knowledge of developments within health and wellness brands, and related industries.
- identify market gaps and recommend strategies to grow market share.
Minimum Requirements
- minimum 3-5 years' experience in a sales role within the media, publishing, advertising, marketing, healthcare media, or communications industry.
- proven exposure to healthcare publications, wellness brands, or health-related products.
- strong understanding of media sales, advertising solutions, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- high proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
- own reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- established health & wellness industry network and client relationships will be advantageous.
