Our client in Environmental Industry, requires the services of an Financial Administrator to join their team.

Key performance areas

General Administration

  • Managing the job card process – verifying data and quality control
  • Preparing and submitting any client related documentation by due dates
  • Archiving and document retention
  • Managing an electronic filing system to ensure all documents are accessible and up to date
  • Frontline support: answering the phone and handling staff queries professionally
  • Manage office supplies and consumables
  • Taking minutes of Management meetings

Petty Cash

  • Process petty cash slips received from managers
  • Allocate expenses to the correct cost centres
  • Ensure slips are stored electronically and physically

Payroll Support

  • Compile data and support payroll preparation
  • Use and monitor Time and attendance system
  • Check and verify employee payslips and registers

Accounts Payable (Creditors)

  • Reconcile creditor statements with supplier accounts
  • Assist in generating AP Age Analysis reports

Reports & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit EPWP Reports for submission to the City of Cape Town (CoCT)
  • Prepare and submit CPG Reports aligned to EPWP

HR Support

  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation
  • Update employee records on One Drive
  • Assist with leave administration
  • Attend to payroll queries

B-BBEE Support

  • Source and maintain supplier BEE certificates
  • Assist with procurement point tracking for BEE reporting

The successful candidate must have

  • Matric with a relevant qualification in Administration, Finance or Business Management
  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a role Administration role
  • Must have basic bookkeeping & payroll administration experience
  • Previous experience within construction, environmental or contracting industries would be advantageous
  • Must have knowledge of EPWP reporting
  • Must have experience with B-BBEE administration
  • Must have experience with time & attendance systems
  • Experience using Pastel would be advantageous
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
