Our client in Environmental Industry, requires the services of an Financial Administrator to join their team.
Key performance areas
General Administration
- Managing the job card process – verifying data and quality control
- Preparing and submitting any client related documentation by due dates
- Archiving and document retention
- Managing an electronic filing system to ensure all documents are accessible and up to date
- Frontline support: answering the phone and handling staff queries professionally
- Manage office supplies and consumables
- Taking minutes of Management meetings
Petty Cash
- Process petty cash slips received from managers
- Allocate expenses to the correct cost centres
- Ensure slips are stored electronically and physically
Payroll Support
- Compile data and support payroll preparation
- Use and monitor Time and attendance system
- Check and verify employee payslips and registers
Accounts Payable (Creditors)
- Reconcile creditor statements with supplier accounts
- Assist in generating AP Age Analysis reports
Reports & Compliance
- Prepare and submit EPWP Reports for submission to the City of Cape Town (CoCT)
- Prepare and submit CPG Reports aligned to EPWP
HR Support
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation
- Update employee records on One Drive
- Assist with leave administration
- Attend to payroll queries

B-BBEE Support
- Source and maintain supplier BEE certificates
- Assist with procurement point tracking for BEE reporting
The successful candidate must have
- Matric with a relevant qualification in Administration, Finance or Business Management
- Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a role Administration role
- Must have basic bookkeeping & payroll administration experience
- Previous experience within construction, environmental or contracting industries would be advantageous
- Must have knowledge of EPWP reporting
- Must have experience with B-BBEE administration
- Must have experience with time & attendance systems
- Experience using Pastel would be advantageous
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
