Business Development Manager

Our Company is seeking an experienced and driven Distribution Manager / Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our national distribution network.

This role is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with financial advisers, brokers and referral partners while driving new business, revenue growth and exceptional partner relationships.

• Develop and implement our company's national distribution and business development strategy.
• Build and manage relationships with financial advisers, brokers, accountants, fiduciary practitioners and other referral partners.
• Drive new business growth and achieve sales and revenue targets.
• Expand our company's national distribution footprint through strategic partnerships.
• Lead and develop the distribution team to achieve high performance.
• Monitor sales pipelines, partner performance and business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver an exceptional client and partner experience.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts and performance analyses.

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, Marketing or a related field.
• RE5 and a FAIS-recognised qualification (essential).
• CFP or CFA studies/designation will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in investment management, asset management distribution, intermediary sales or business development within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience marketing and distributing investment solutions such as unit trusts, model portfolios or discretionary investment solutions.
• Established network of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), brokers and other financial intermediaries.
• Sound knowledge of FAIS, FICA, POPIA, CISCA and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally
