POSITION INFO

Are you an experienced AGA(SA) or SAIPA Accountant looking to join a professional and client-focused accounting practice where your technical expertise and client relationship skills will be valued? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to join their team in a senior capacity. This well-established accounting practice is based in Bellville in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and correct trial balances Prepare Annual Financial Statements, including Independent Reviews and Compilations Review management accounts prepared by junior staff Prepare tax computations and provide related compliance services Liaise with clients and provide accounting advice and support Review and correct bookkeeping and reconciliations Prepare management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts Mentor and train junior team members Manage client relationships and resolve client queries efficiently Ensure work is completed within agreed time budgets Qualifications & experience: Registered AGA(SA) or SAIPA Professional Accountant Ability to sign off on Independent Reviews 3-5 years'' post-articles experience within an accounting practice Solid experience using Caseware Working Papers Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Afrikaans and English communication skills, with Afrikaans at first-language proficiency Advantageous Experience: Xero Accounting Software and Xero Practice Management (Partner Hub) Pastel and/or Sage Accounting Trust accounting and financial statements Company secretarial requirements SARS eFiling Experience overseeing and mentoring junior staff
