Deep Thought Media is looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to lead and grow the SEO services we provide to our clients.

This is not a junior optimisation role. We’re looking for someone who understands SEO from strategy through to execution, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and can confidently guide both clients and internal team members.

Strong mid to high level seo

You’ll work alongside our Google Ads, web development, design and content teams to deliver measurable organic growth for a wide range of businesses.

What you’ll be responsible for

* Developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies

* Performing detailed technical SEO audits

* Managing on-page and off-page optimisation

* Conducting keyword and competitor research

* Analysing Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and ranking data

* Identifying opportunities for organic traffic growth

* Managing Google Business Profile optimisation for local SEO

* Building SEO roadmaps for new and existing clients

* Monitoring algorithm updates and adapting strategies accordingly

* Working with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations

* Working with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are followed

* Creating client reports with meaningful insights and recommendations

* Reviewing website migrations and redesigns from an SEO perspective

* Ensuring tracking, events and conversions are correctly implemented across websites

* Mentoring junior team members where required

* Participating in client strategy meetings

Essential Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in:

* 5+ years working in SEO

* Technical SEO

* Local SEO

* Google Search Console

* Google Analytics 4

* Google Tag Manager

* Event and conversion tracking

* Google Business Profile optimisation

* Core Web Vitals

* Structured data/schema

* Keyword research and content strategy

* Backlink analysis and link building

* Website migrations

* SEO reporting and data analysis

Very important: a good understanding of where SEO and GEO are going. AI citations and optimzing for AI

Experience with WordPress and understanding how websites are built will be highly advantageous.
