Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of National Diploma / B.Tech, BSc or B.Eng in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in automotive or similar engineering environment
  • Component/system development and testing experience
  • Exposure to engineering data systems and cross-functional teamwork

Technical and Behavioural Competencies:

  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and planning ability
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • High degree of computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Key Performance Areas:

  • Design, develop, test, and release components in line with company standards
  • Adapt designs to African market and environmental conditions
  • Apply preventative and corrective engineering tools
  • Ensure quality, safety, and reliability compliance before production release
  • Prepare and maintain accurate engineering and technical data
  • Manage engineering changes in line with production build levels
  • Support production, localisation, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Participate in cross-divisional projects and technical forums
