Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum of National Diploma / B.Tech, BSc or B.Eng in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in automotive or similar engineering environment
- Component/system development and testing experience
- Exposure to engineering data systems and cross-functional teamwork
Technical and Behavioural Competencies:
- Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
- Project management and planning ability
- Good communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- High degree of computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Key Performance Areas:
- Design, develop, test, and release components in line with company standards
- Adapt designs to African market and environmental conditions
- Apply preventative and corrective engineering tools
- Ensure quality, safety, and reliability compliance before production release
- Prepare and maintain accurate engineering and technical data
- Manage engineering changes in line with production build levels
- Support production, localisation, and cost optimisation initiatives
- Participate in cross-divisional projects and technical forums
