Tri Star Foods, situated in northern Johannesburg, is a long established manufacturer and distributor of food and allied products supplying the Food Service and Hospitality industries since 1991

The company invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of an Internal Sales Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to the sales team by ensuring the efficient processing of customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and sales documentation. The role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining accurate sales records, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting the achievement of sales objectives through efficient administration.

  • Process incoming customer orders accurately and timeously
  • Verify any pricing issues and delivery requirements
  • Prepare and email Pro Forma invoices for cash account customers to ensure payment is received prior to order dispatch
  • Coordinating and communicate logistic needs for all orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Generate invoices and supporting documentation where required
  • Monitor and manage daily backorder reports
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and administrative documentation
  • Resolve customer queries and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Keep customers informed regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product availability
  • Prepare accurate quotations
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Provide administrative support to the external sales team
  • Update and maintain customer specific pricing and company price lists
  • Send promotions, new product information, price updates and company updates to the customer database via email
  • Provide professional, responsive, and efficient customer service via telephone, email, and in person
  • Prepare meeting documentation and supporting materials for weekly sales meetings and record meeting minutes
  • Assist walk-in customers with enquiries, quotations, and order processing
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and finance department
  • Proficient in Sage Evolution ERP
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Resides within 30 minutes from North Riding
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in a similar position within the food industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
