People Advisor (12 month maternity cover)

Location: Centurion, South Africa

Contract Typ e: Temporary – 12 month Fixed Term contract maternity cover

Salary: Starting from ZAR34,416.75 gross per month, depending upon skills and experie nce

Hours: Full Time, Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00 and Friday 07:00 – 13:30, with 30 minutes lunch per day

What you’ll be doing

As our People Advisor, you will work closely with line managers across the Africa and Asia (AAA) region to provide practical HR advice and support across recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, payroll coordination, compliance and the full employee lifecycle. You will manage Employee Relation cases, support wellbeing-focused decision making, maintain accurate HR records and reports, issue timely documentation, draft country-specific policies in line with employment law, complete projects to agreed timescales, and liaise with third-party providers. The role also involves upholding data protection and retention requirements, delivering a high-quality HR service, role modelling the organisation’s Values, promoting a positive culture, and providing leadership support when the line manager is absent .

What you need to have

  • National Senior Certificate/Matric with passes in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and English, or equivalent.
  • A good command of both written and spoken English Language
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, in particular Excel to at least an intermediate level
  • Foundation CIPD or equivalent HR professional qualification, such as a degree in any field
  • Working as an advisor within a busy, confidential and employee focused environment, working with line managers to coordinate
  • Effectively utilising online systems and data bases
  • Experience of Managing casework

What we offer

  • 20 days of annual leave per year, January to December
  • Medical allowance payable at the rate of ZAR1,516.00 per month
  • Homeowners allowance payable at the rate of ZAR1,409.00 per month
