Our client, a leading company in the frozen fruit and vegetable processing industry , is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician (Trade-Tested Millwright) to join their maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in an FMCG, food processing or packaging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and optimising production, packaging, refrigeration and plant utility equipment to ensure maximum reliability, efficiency and uptime. Key Responsibilities Maintain, repair and optimise production, packaging, refrigeration and plant utility equipment. Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out structured fault-finding. Support uninterrupted production through safe, efficient and compliant maintenance practices. Maintain utilities and plant infrastructure. Assist with maintenance systems, asset management and stores control. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety and quality standards. Minimum Requirements Trade-Tested Millwright qualification. 3-5 years'' maintenance experience in an FMCG, food processing or packaging environment . Experience working with automated production equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Experience with: 3-phase motors Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) Pneumatic systems Industrial sensors Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and machine schematics. Willing and able to work rotational shifts and weekends. Self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Key Performance Areas Production equipment reliability. Preventative maintenance execution. Utilities and infrastructure support. Maintenance systems and stores control. Health, safety and food safety compliance. Success Measures Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Timely response and resolution of equipment breakdowns. Preventative maintenance schedule adherence. Maintenance costs managed within budget. High levels of equipment reliability and plant availability.
