This expansion creates a requirement for a Model Behavior Monitor to observe and evaluate the quality of automated outputs on a part-time basis. By identifying patterns in model performance, this role helps maintain the integrity of the data that informs our long-term investment strategies.

About the role

The Model Behavior Monitor is an entry level position centered on the qualitative assessment of machine learning outputs. You will work closely with our data analysts to provide human oversight on automated conversations and data generation. This is a fully remote contract role, allowing for a high degree of flexibility while performing critical quality control tasks. You will be tasked with identifying subtle errors, logical gaps, and inconsistencies that automated systems might overlook. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy analytical thinking and have a broad interest in how language models interact with complex instructions.

What you will do

• Review and grade model responses based on accuracy, logic, and adherence to specific prompts.
• Identify and document errors within generative outputs, such as factual mistakes or logical contradictions.
• Compare multiple model responses to determine which version exhibits the clearest reasoning.
• Tag and categorize data subsets to help improve future model training cycles.
• Provide written summaries of recurring issues or improvements in model performance over time.
• Ensure that model interactions remain professional and consistent with firm communication standards.
• Use internal tools to log observations and progress on assigned batches of data.
• Attend remote team meetings to share insights on common model failure patterns.
• Contribute to the development of internal documentation for better model evaluation processes.
