Business Development Intern
Recruitable
Fourteen years ago we started Capital Placement with one goal: to help students and graduates build global careers, no matter where they come from or who they know. Today we work with over 5,000 employers across London, Singapore, New York, and beyond, connecting them with driven, pre-vetted talent from around the world.
We're looking for a Business Development Intern to help us open doors, both for companies and for young talent. You'll learn the full partnership cycle from the ground up, from finding new employer partners to helping coordinate placements that genuinely change people's lives. This is hands-on from day one. You'll learn by doing, with a team that's invested in your growth.
What you'll do
Reach out to companies across different sectors using email, LinkedIn, and creative lead generation
Join discovery calls and help match companies with candidates from our global talent pool
Support the full partnership cycle: outreach, relationships, interview coordination, and candidate prep
Keep our CRM and records accurate and up to date
Research new markets, industries, and potential partners
Represent Capital Placement on calls, meetings, and presentations
You'll do well here if you
Enjoy talking to new people and building relationships
Are studying or recently graduated (any field, though business, marketing, or comms helps)
Are motivated by goals and want to see results from your work
Can juggle several conversations at once and stay organised
Are curious about how businesses and partnerships work
Like learning new tools and finding smarter ways to get things done
Bonus points if you
Have lived or studied abroad
Have any sales, BD, or client-facing experience (internships or part-time count)
Have used tools like Apollo, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
What you'll get
Competitive salary (pegged to GBP)
Hands-on training from our business development team and exposure to the tools and tech we use
Mentorship from a partnerships team across three continents
A front-row seat to how a global placement company actually runs
The chance to convert to a full-time Associate role if you do well
We invest heavily in our interns, so we're looking for people who take the work seriously and want a real shot at a full-time role.
Hours: Monday to Thursday in UK hours, Fridays in your local time zone (9:30am to 5:30pm). Fully remote, working with colleagues across 8 countries.
