Our client is looking for a sharp, data-driven, and visually current Paid Media Specialist to manage and scale paid advertising campaigns across two distinct brands: a starting business utilizing a fully automated, quote-and-pay-direct website and an established security brand This is a pure performance and social advertising role. The candidate will NOT be responsible for managing, updating, or maintaining websites. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be highly comfortable, confident, and charismatic on camera, as they will serve as the on-camera "face" of our brands for short-form video advertising and social media hooks. Key Details Role Type: Permanent (Full-Time or Part-Time/Retainer) Location: Centurion / Pretoria Area (Hybrid/On-site) Experience Level: Hungry Junior / 2 – 3 years’ experience Key Responsibilities 1. Paid Ads Management (Google & Meta) Campaign Setup & Daily Optimisation: Build, monitor, and optimise paid Google Search/Display campaigns and Meta (Facebook & Instagram) ad sets to drive high-intent traffic to the website. Budget Tracking: Actively manage and monitor daily ad spend across both accounts to prevent budget waste and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS). Data Reporting: Track and report weekly performance indicators, specifically focusing on Click-Through Rates (CTR), Cost Per Click (CPC), and driving down the Cost Per Lead (CPL). Campaign Improvement Insights: Use campaign performance data to identify trends, highlight opportunities, and suggest practical improvements to strengthen results over time. 2. Content Creation & Social Media ("Face of the Brand") On-Camera Presenting: Film, present, and act in short-form video ads (TikToks, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts) to act as the public face of the brand. Ad Copywriting & Basic Design: Write highly engaging ad copy and hooks. Use basic creative tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar video editing apps to keep the visual style fresh, modern, and engaging. Content Planning & Scheduling: Plan, create, and schedule digital content for social media and paid campaigns to support consistent brand visibility and campaign momentum. Social Content Execution: Focus campaigns on bringing customers into our direct online quote-and-pay sales funnel. 3. Market Awareness & Team Support Market Awareness: Monitor competitor activity, audience behaviour, and relevant trends to identify useful marketing opportunities. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider team to ensure marketing efforts support lead generation and broader sales objectives. Candidate Requirements Academic/Course Background: A recent graduate or final-year student in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (such as Vega, Red & Yellow, or AAA). Relevant practical experience in digital marketing, paid media, content creation, or social-media marketing will also be considered. Language Ability : Must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English. Technical Conceptual Knowledge: A strong understanding of Google Ads Manager and Meta Business Suite. Having official Google Ads Certifications is a major advantage. On-Camera Charisma: Zero camera-shyness. Must be energetic, articulate, and naturally comfortable talking to a camera. Analytical Mindset: A balance of creative visual skills and the ability to read performance dashboards. Communication & Work Style: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently, take initiative, and manage deadlines effectively. Marketing Understanding: An understanding of lead-generation funnels and direct-response marketing will be beneficial. Creative Ability: Basic graphic design, video editing, and copywriting skills will be an advantage. Professional Approach: A commercially aware, organised, and hands-on attitude will be valuable in this role.
