SUMMARY
Our client, a leading organization within the wholesale, retail, and butchery supply industry, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join their team in Polokwane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within the region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in a similar industry, a valid driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with CRM systems.

Own reliable vehicle. Minimum of 2 years' sales experience within a similar industry (wholesale, retail, or butcheries). Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong sales skills. Excellent relationship-building skills. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Strong presentation skills. DUTIES: Personally contact and secure new business accounts and customers. Handle and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner. Prepare weekly status reports, including activity, sales closures, follow-ups, and progress against targets, for presentation to the Sales Manager. Utilize Skynamo daily as a sales activity management tool and maintain accurate customer database information, sales activities, and movement tracking. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, market information, and customer feedback to relevant Company staff. Present and sell Company products and services to existing and potential clients. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify sales targets and forecast required customer engagements. Follow up on new leads and referrals generated through field activities. Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts and potential customers. Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. Maintain up-to-date sales materials and product knowledge. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Complete required paperwork to activate and maintain customer contracts and services. Participate in marketing activities, including seminars, trade shows, telemarketing initiatives, and promotional events. Follow up on outstanding payments and assist with debt collection where required. Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure the successful fulfilment of merchandise and services. Provide on-the-job training and support to new sales employees. Manage customer accounts through quality checks, follow-ups, and ongoing relationship management. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful sales completion and customer satisfaction. Develop and implement targeted sales activities to reduce excess stock. Assist with the implementation of Company marketing plans and initiatives. Ensure monthly sales targets are achieved as agreed with the Sales Manager. Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and provide effective solutions. Liaise daily with the relevant Telesales Clerk to ensure customer relationships are effectively managed and queries are resolved promptly. Provide operational support to the sales team as required. Plan and attend in-store promotions and wet demonstrations.
