Job Title
Data Capturer
Grade: E
Responsible To: Registration Officer
Number of Positions: 1
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Registration Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining data related to the registration and compliance of private security companies and guards, handling large volumes of data/information, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the overall data management processes within the Office of the Registrar of Private Security Companies.
DataManagement
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Capturing and Entry
- Accurately enter data from various sources into the registration database.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency in the registration database.
- Ensure all data is captured promptly and meets quality standards.
- Verify and cross-check data entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Data Maintenance
- Update existing records as required, ensuring data is current and accurate.
- Assist in the regular review and cleaning of data to remove duplication and correct errors.
- Data Verification
- Perform regular audits to verify the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Cross-reference data with source documents to ensure consistency.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies found during data verification.
- Support and Coordination
- Collaborate with the IT Department and staff members to ensure data requirements are met.
- Assist in generating reports and extracting data as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data capture and management procedures where necessary.
Job Specifications
Applicants Must Possess
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Plus
- Two (2) years’ working experience in Information Technology and data management activities.
Relevant Knowledge and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Customer service orientation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
