Junior Sales Assistant Kick-start your sales career in a growing UK fintech, working directly with the Founder while building your outbound sales skills and progressing into a broader sales role. Location: Remote (Cape Town preferred) | Working Arrangement: Remote (with the intention of introducing an office environment as the team grows) | Working Hours: UK Hours, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (1-hour lunch) | Salary: R22,000 - R27,000 per month + Commission ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a UK-based challenger payment provider helping small and medium-sized businesses get paid faster, more simply, and without the complexity of traditional banking processes. They are building payment solutions focused on speed, transparency, and fairness. As a growing fintech business, they are looking for a Junior Sales Assistant to support sales growth while gaining hands-on exposure to the payments industry and learning directly from the Founder. THE ROLE: JUNIOR SALES ASSISTANT This entry-level role supports the Head of Sales and Founder with day-to-day sales activities. The successful candidate will help generate and qualify leads, manage inbound enquiries, support sales administration, and ensure opportunities progress smoothly through the sales pipeline. The role has a strong focus on outbound cold calling and is suited to someone who is motivated to develop into a broader end-to-end sales position within a startup environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads via phone, email, and LinkedIn. Conduct outbound cold calling with a target of approximately 100 calls per day. Manage and maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline data. Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, and follow-up communications. Research prospective customers and industry segments to identify new opportunities. Liaise with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities. Attend industry events and networking opportunities when required (occasional travel). Support end-to-end sales activities as opportunities progress through the pipeline. ABOUT YOU Experience in a sales role with exposure to the end-to-end sales process. Comfortable making approximately 100 outbound cold calls per day. Experience working within a startup environment. Strong communication skills with a neutral accent and confidence speaking with people at all levels. Organised with strong attention to detail and committed to following up on commitments. Self-motivated with the confidence to proactively pick up the phone and engage prospects. Resilient, coachable, and receptive to feedback. Genuine interest in fintech, payments, or helping businesses grow. Comfortable learning and using CRM systems and sales tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. SaaS sales experience would be advantageous. Experience setting up outbound email and LinkedIn campaigns would be advantageous.
