Regional Sales Manager - Medical Devices

Our client, a respected leader within the Medical Devices Industry, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and drive sales performance across Pretoria, North West, and Limpopo.

This position requires a strategic sales leader with extensive experience in the medical devices sector, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to grow market share while developing high-performing sales teams.

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve regional sales targets.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Medical Device Sales Representatives.
  • Monitor regional performance and implement corrective action where required.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), surgeons, specialists, hospital groups, procurement teams, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular field visits and accompany representatives on customer calls.
  • Support product launches and regional marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and customer events.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and performance reviews.
  • Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent Medical or Business qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Regional Sales Manager within the Medical Devices Industry.
  • Medical Devices industry experience is non-negotiable.
  • Candidates with Pharmaceutical Sales experience only will not be considered.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong business development and strategic planning experience.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving regional sales targets.
  • Existing relationships with hospitals and healthcare professionals will be advantageous.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Own reliable vehicle.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Pretoria, North West, and Limpopo.
