SUMMARY

Our client, an established electrical contracting company based in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, are looking for a creative, organised, and proactive Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator. The role will entail managing the company's digital presence across all social media platforms and company website, creating engaging content, promoting company services, and helping to generate new business opportunities through effective digital marketing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Consistent posting across all social media platforms. Growth in followers and audience engagement. Increased website traffic. Lead generation through digital channels. Improved Google search visibility. High-quality, professional brand presentation. Timely website updates. Monthly marketing performance reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring content is accurate and up to date Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Write compelling captions, blogs, articles, and marketing content highlighting our electrical services and completed projects. Photograph and create short videos of installations, projects, and team activities. Design marketing graphics using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar software. Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages professionally. Develop monthly content calendars aligned with company promotions and seasonal campaigns. Improve website content for search engine optimisation (SEO). Assist with Google Business Profile updates and customer reviews. Monitor website and social media analytics and prepare monthly performance reports. Work closely with management to promote new services, products, and special offers. Stay informed about current social media trends and recommend new marketing ideas. Key Requirements Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field. 2-3 years' experience managing business social media accounts. Experience updating websites using WordPress or similar content management systems. Experience creating marketing content for service-based businesses is advantageous. Photography and video editing skills. Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar design tools. Knowledge of SEO and Google Business Profile management is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong copywriting and storytelling ability. Creative mindset with an eye for design. Highly organised with excellent time management. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Professional and customer focused.
