POSITION INFO

A well-established organisation based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Finance and Compliance Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and experience across core finance functions, including VAT, tax, reconciliations, audit support, and financial reporting. Exposure to the hospitality industry would be advantageous. Education and Qualifications National Diploma or B.Com Degree in Accounting Minimum 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience Experience within the hospitality industry preferred. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems Key Responsibilities Manage VAT, tax, and statutory compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timeous submissions. Prepare and process journals, account reconciliations, and month-end reporting activities. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records. Support internal and external audit processes, providing required schedules and documentation. Assist with financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control procedures. Skills & Competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
