A leading public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Deputy Director: Human Resource Sourcing and Maintenance to lead and manage human resource sourcing, administration, and maintenance functions while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage recruitment, selection, and retention processes.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Oversee HR administration, reporting, and policy compliance.
- Manage employee benefits and conditions of service, including leave, medical aid, pension, housing allowance, overtime, relocations, and terminations.
- Manage and maintain the organisational establishment and PERSAL transactions.
- Perform PERSAL Controller functions and ensure data integrity.
- Provide expert advice on HR policies, legislation, and best practices.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of the HR team.
- Prepare management reports and ensure effective administration within the directorate.
Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Psychology, Public Management/Administration, Operations Management, Labour Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience at supervisory or middle management level within Human Resources.
- Proven experience in recruitment and selection, HR administration, and employee benefits management.
- Sound knowledge of Public Service Regulations and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Extensive experience working with the PERSAL system.
