Account Manager - Medical Devices

Our client, a leading supplier within the Medical Devices Industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with a strong clinical aptitude, established hospital relationships, and a passion for delivering innovative healthcare solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, providing clinical support, and achieving sales targets across the Free State and Northern Cape regions.

  • Promote and sell a portfolio of medical devices within the Urology, Pelvic Health, Surgery, Wound Care, and Laser & Scopes divisions.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with surgeons, specialists, theatre staff, procurement departments, and hospital management within both private and public healthcare facilities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Provide theatre and procedural support during clinical procedures where required.
  • Deliver product training and educational sessions to healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure customers receive exceptional after-sales support and service.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare quotations, manage product trials, and follow up on customer enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, and forecasts.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Attend congresses, exhibitions, and customer events as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Medical qualification or healthcare-related background.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Medical Devices Sales.
  • Experience selling Medical Devices is non-negotiable.
  • Candidates with Pharmaceutical Sales experience only will not be considered.
  • Experience within theatre support and surgical products will be highly advantageous.
  • Existing relationships with surgeons, hospitals, theatre personnel, and healthcare professionals are highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Own reliable vehicle.
  • Must reside in Bloemfontein or surrounding areas.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Free State and Northern Cape.
