Functional & Business Application Support Specialist Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg Job Type: Contract, Full-Time Job Description The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for providing end-to-end functional and production support for the GCMS application, ensuring system stability, availability, performance, and operational resilience across all supported environments. The candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for incident management, query resolution, change implementation, production support, and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring compliance with operational, audit, risk, and governance standards. Key Responsibilities: GCMS Incident Management GCMS Query Management GCMS Change Implementation and Post-Implementation Testing GCMS System Availability and Recovery GCMS Audit, Compliance and Governance GCMS System Administration and Operational Support GCMS Stakeholder Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement Experience Requirements: Intermediate to Senior-level Application Support experience. Strong experience supporting business-critical production applications within enterprise environments. Proven experience in incident management, problem management, query management, production support, and change implementation. Strong understanding of testing methodologies, production support processes, and operational risk management. Experience within financial services and banking environments will be highly advantageous. Prior experience supporting the GCMS application or similar mission-critical transaction processing platforms will be advantageous.
