POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store. Ensure the store is clean, organised, fully stocked, and visually appealing. Implement company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed accurately. Monitor store performance and implement strategies to improve profitability. Drive sales and achieve monthly sales targets. Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally. Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Monitor sales trends and implement promotional activities. Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Recruit, train, supervise, and develop store employees. Prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate store coverage. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching. Motivate the team to achieve sales and operational targets. Manage employee attendance, discipline, and workplace conduct. Oversee stock ordering and replenishment. Conduct regular stock counts and stocktakes. Monitor stock movement and minimise losses due to theft, damage, or expiry. Investigate stock variances and implement corrective measures. Ensure accurate receiving and storage of deliveries. Manage daily cash-ups and banking procedures. Ensure accurate reconciliation of sales and cash transactions. Monitor expenses and control store costs. Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities for growth. Maintain accurate operational records and reports. Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing regulations and age-restriction laws. Verify customer identification where required. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure all security procedures are followed to minimise shrinkage and theft. Conduct regular safety inspections and address risks promptly. Ensure shelves are fully stocked and displays are attractive. Implement promotional displays according to company standards. Monitor product pricing and promotional signage. Ensure stock rotation is carried out using FIFO principles.
