SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

An exciting opportunity exists within the Commercial department for a Raw Material Buyer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of E-Waste and related materials. This position is ideally suited to someone with great people skills, an affinity for sales and buying, as well as strong administrative skills. Key duties:

• Sourcing of raw materials for further processing.
• Identify and engage with potential suppliers.
• Maintain awareness of new opportunities.
• Determine the estimated value of the raw materials.
• When required, obtain a mandate from the Commercial Managers to purchase the applicable materials.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Build an understanding of the underlying business model to make purposeful buying decisions. Minimum requirements and Competencies:
• Matric
• Sales & Buying experience will be advantageous
• Further qualifications are not required, but will be beneficial
• Computer literate (Microsoft 365).
• Excellent planning and organising skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
• Able to travel out of town, as required.
• Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills. Basic calculation skills, with the aim of making purchasing /costing decisions.
