RPA Support Specialist

JHC Consulting seeks an RPA Support Specialist to join our advisory practice as we support a major infrastructure group in the transition to automated governance and compliance monitoring. This is a technical role designed for an entry level professional who understands that software and automation are only as useful as the logic behind them. We do not use technology for its own sake, but rather to ensure the data providing the foundation for our counsel is accurate and timely. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage these systems with a high degree of independence.

The Role

In this position, you will maintain the stability of the automated processes that gather data for our analytical work. Unlike traditional support roles, your task is not just to fix errors, but to document why they occurred and how the logic was adjusted to prevent a recurrence. You will work closely with our principals to ensure that the data streams feeding into our memoranda remain uninterrupted and accurate.

• Monitor the performance of existing RPA scripts and automated data harvesters.
• Identify and resolve exceptions in automation logic when source applications or websites change.
• Draft technical memoranda explaining bot failures or performance degradation for the firm.
• Update automation workflows to reflect shifts in client compliance requirements.
• Maintain the technical documentation that serves as the history for every automated task.
• Collaborate with senior advisors to translate complex regulatory rules into simple, linear automation logic.
• Ensure that all automated outputs are verified against original sources for absolute accuracy.

What You Bring

We are looking for a clear thinker who is comfortable with the fundamentals of automation and has a high standard for written communication. • A basic understanding of RPA tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, or equivalent scripting languages.
• The ability to read and interpret logical workflows and identify where a sequence has broken.
• Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce concise technical notes without using jargon.
• A disciplined approach to troubleshooting that favors finding the root cause over applying a quick fix.
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
• An analytical mindset that looks for the assumption behind every data point.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts or a willingness to learn the principles of institutional compliance.
