The Underwriter provides comprehensive administrative support for both short-term and long-term insurance. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate, efficient, and compliant administration of insurance policies and related processes.

  • Provide administrative support to brokers across short-term and long-term insurance.
  • Prepare quotations, applications, renewals, and policy documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, banks, and service providers.
  • Process policy amendments, cancellations, reinstatements, claims, and client requests.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Obtain and compare insurer quotations and prepare client schedules.
  • Assist with life insurance, investment, and policy servicing administration.
  • Deliver professional client service and assist with general office administration.
  • Participate in ongoing product and compliance training.
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in short-term and/or long-term insurance administration.
  • RE5 qualification (completed).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Tial, System A, Santam, or similar insurer systems will be advantageous.
  • Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
  • Sound knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
