The Underwriter provides comprehensive administrative support for both short-term and long-term insurance. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate, efficient, and compliant administration of insurance policies and related processes.
- Provide administrative support to brokers across short-term and long-term insurance.
- Prepare quotations, applications, renewals, and policy documentation.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, banks, and service providers.
- Process policy amendments, cancellations, reinstatements, claims, and client requests.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Obtain and compare insurer quotations and prepare client schedules.
- Assist with life insurance, investment, and policy servicing administration.
- Deliver professional client service and assist with general office administration.
- Participate in ongoing product and compliance training.
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in short-term and/or long-term insurance administration.
- RE5 qualification (completed).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Tial, System A, Santam, or similar insurer systems will be advantageous.
- Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
- Sound knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
