SALES REPRESENTATIVE / EXECUTIVE

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB FUNCTION

To generate sales, build sales leads, maintain sales accounts by servicing and maintain healthy

business relationships with existing clients as well as prospecting for new clients and potential

sales.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS/INDICATORS

  • Present, promote and sell products and bakery / catering solutions using honest, solid
  • arguments to existing and prospective clients.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationship by being
  • attentive, quick to follow up and provide feedback.
  • Continuously add to own knowledge and understanding of Macadams Products, Macadams
  • customer relationship and business Relationship management protocols.
  • Servicing existing clients, obtains orders, and services and establishes new accounts by
  • planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets
  • and other trade aspects.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Present, promote and sell products and bakery / catering solutions using honest, solid
  • arguments to existing and prospective clients.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationship by being
  • attentive, quick to follow up and provide feedback.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Continuously add to own knowledge and understanding of Macadams Products, Macadams
  • customer relationship and business Relationship management protocols.
  • Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests and competitive
  • activities and potential for new products and services.
  • Servicing existing clients, obtains orders, and services and establishes new accounts by
  • planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade aspects.
  • Create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs as and when required.
  • Attend trade shows and host regular demonstrations at Macadams when required.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Coordinating delivery of product or services
  • Analyse the territory /market potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures

  • Johannesburg Administrative Sales Team
  • Company Technicians and Agents
  • Company Customers (existing and potential)

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCY MIMIMUM REQUIRMENTS

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Sales or Marketing diploma/degree or proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Detail and goal oriented
  • Ability to understand pricing strategies.
  • Excellent prioritising, time management and organizational skills
  • Valid, unendorsed drivers’ licence and own reliable transport
  • Excellent business written and verbal communication skills – specifically English.
  • Computer literate - Excel, Word. Knowledge of an ERP advantageous
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Ability to take clear instruction and provide comprehensive feedback.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel if required
