Junior UI Developer

We are supporting a major institutional project where the organization and display of data require absolute precision. JHC Consulting is seeking a Junior UI Developer to assist in building the web-based interfaces that house our analytical work and written memoranda. At our firm, the visual presentation of a claim is never separate from the claim itself. We require a developer who understands that clarity is the highest form of sophistication and who can translate complex requirements into clean, functional code. This is a fully remote, entry-level position that involves both technical implementation and the structural organization of digital information.

The Role

In this role, your daily work involves the manual translation of design requirements into standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will build and maintain internal tools used by our principals to synthesize client data and organize it for formal review. Much of your time will be spent on the fine details of layout: ensuring that our digital memoranda are legible on all devices and that our data visualizations remain clear when subjected to close scrutiny. You will work with the knowledge that your code provides the framework for professional counsel that boards of directors will rely upon for years. Writing documentation is as important as writing code here, as every piece of our infrastructure requires a clear written record of its intent and function.

What You Bring

• Familiarity with basic front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with a modern framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte, gained through studies, internships, or personal projects.
• An understanding of typography and the principles of grid-based layout for digital documents.
• A commitment to writing code that is easy for others to read, audit, and maintain.
• The ability to follow technical directions while identifying potential flaws in logic or execution.
• A background in an analytical field or a demonstrated interest in the mechanics of finance and corporate governance.
• Proficiency in written English, with the ability to explain technical concepts without relying on corporate jargon.
• The self-discipline required to work in a fully remote environment without constant day-to-day oversight.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience in technical development.
